Hello!
It’s January, of the year 2025, which is an abhorrent thing! Time, it moves!
Yesterday was my birthday, and I woke up to my kids singing at me in bed while manhandling a candled, cold English muffin. There were some amazing cards (and some less amazing gifts) and one of the 8 year old’s, in Spanish, read in its entirety: Happy birthday and thank you for helping me clean the kitchen after Christmas and also thank you for making so much pasta.
(No, I don’t cook.)
His twin’s, in English, went on and on (two-sided!), thanking me for being the “money giver” and for always laughing at his “luxurious voice.”
I’m in the USA for the month, and today as I was finishing my run in Berkeley, a man gave me an oddly expressive smile as we passed each other on the sidewalk. Just as my creepster radar started raise, I looked down at the sidewalk, and my eyes glanced off the slogan on my new sweatshirt.
