Hello!
It’s September, which is awful, because time is a thing we remain unable to freeze.
As I write this, on a grey Sunday morning in a flagging Argentine winter, I’m seated at our new kitchen island in our newly renovated kitchen. A whale documentary is on, muted, discarded by a child who sought entertainment to accompany a big breakfast. (One they self-described as “charged” — an English mistranslation, per always.)
Around me, a plethora of technology is charging, and yet I am, human-wise, surprisingly alone. (As another child sweetly said at dinner the other night, the enormous kitchen island is generally great because it, “makes all the family more together.”)
I have coffee.
