I have always read articles about publishing a book, partly because it has always been one of my secret dreams, and on the other because I think it is a very fascinating industry - that of publishing - and continually forced to reinvent itself and change. I found this piece particularly useful and interesting, especially in the parts where you specified that publishing is 'an art and a science' and the advice on understanding and doing research before writing the book.
