I really enjoyed this. It’s especially nice to be reminded that it’s better to not say anything if it doesn’t feel aligned. 🤍

Not comparing myself to others is always a good tip to remember. We all have our own journey🤍 Thank you for this article; it was very helpful! This is another good reminder for me to be honest in my work. If something doesn't feel like it needs to be said, I don't need to force it.

It's the worst. And the hardest. And the eternal journey.

Thank you for the mention! Unfortunately not every agent and publisher is on Substack, but they’ll likely recommend their writers get on Substack. Big difference. But I hope all of them scout here in the future!

I like the idea of looking at 5 substack writers you look up to and emulate what they are doing

I learned it's ok skip a publication if you really don't have the flow at the moment. It's ok to give yourself a breather. Substack isn't about numbers, it's about being genuine - toward others and yourself.

Again, thank you, grateful that you deliver "clarity" on the process of being a creative on Substack!

Thanks for the reminder and importance of organizing my About Page: Watching Sarah Fay's WAW publication next!

Perhaps your Substack could be named, "Clarity by Claire Diaz Ortiz"
